First steps into the professional game
At Sochaux, Kieron notices pictures of Marcus Thuram of Inter Milan and Ibrahima Konaté of Real Madrid displayed on the walls. The young forward imagines his own photograph one day being placed alongside those of established players.
He admits that the visit brings pressure as well as excitement. “I feel a little stressed because it is my first trial,” Kieron says in the documentary. “It feels as if I am leaving amateur football and beginning to get closer to the professional world. It makes me dream.”
A decision still to come
Kieron’s football ability is not the only issue shaping the final months of his season. He has been excluded from school because of behavioural problems, leaving his pursuit of a training-centre place under added scrutiny.
The final two episodes follow the attacker through to the end of the campaign and reveal whether he can turn his Sochaux opportunity into a place in an academy.
