Ancelotti to Name Brazil Squad for Japan and Singapore Friendlies on 29 October

In Singapore, where Brazil will close its 2026 calendar with two early-morning friendlies, Carlo Ancelotti is preparing one final squad announcement for the year. The Brazil coach will name his selection on 29 October for November meetings with Japan and the hosts at the 55,000-seat National Stadium.

Singapore stop for Brazil’s November window

Both fixtures will be played at the National Stadium in Singapore, giving the five-time world champions a pair of matches in the same venue during the FIFA international break.

  • Brazil face Japan on 14 November, with kick-off at 7:15am Brasília time.
  • Brazil then play Singapore on 17 November, starting at 7am Brasília time.
  • The Singapore match will be Brazil’s first professional international against the host nation.

A return meeting with Japan

Japan were Brazil’s opponents in the second phase of the 2026 World Cup, a match Brazil won 2-1. The November fixture brings the teams together again, this time in Southeast Asia as Ancelotti assesses his options before the year ends.

Recent results before the Asian trip

Brazil’s previous international window brought three matches. They drew 1-1 with Australia before beating the Australians 4-2, then recorded a 4-0 victory over India.

Despite the four-goal result against India, Eric Faria called the occasion “a match to forget.”
