Aubameyang faces right-knee operation

- Deportivo expect the former Marseille striker to leave hospital later on Thursday.
- The Galician club will decide when he can return to full group training after monitoring his recovery, with no timetable for his comeback yet announced.
A costly absence for promoted Deportivo
The Laval-born forward joined Deportivo from Marseille during the summer and had immediately become the key finisher in their unexpected early momentum. He has scored five times in seven league appearances.
Deportivo, newly promoted this season, sit seventh in La Liga after seven rounds. Losing their leading scorer is a significant setback for a side whose opening weeks had been driven by Aubameyang’s sharpness in front of goal.
