Carlo Ancelotti Tops Global National-Team Coaching Salary List

From Rio de Janeiro to Frankfurt, the latest comparison of national-team coaching salaries places Carlo Ancelotti at the summit of the international game. Brazil’s coach is listed on an annual €10 million deal with the Brazilian Football Confederation, putting him comfortably ahead of the rest of the leading international managers.

National-team salary standings

Ancelotti’s €10 million yearly salary is €3 million higher than the figure attached to Jürgen Klopp, who sits second after taking charge of Germany. The former Liverpool manager is reported to earn €7 million per year from the German Football Association.

Mauricio Pochettino is third in the ranking, with the United States coach receiving €6.8 million annually. England manager Thomas Tuchel follows in fourth place on €6 million a year.

The Netherlands’ Xavi Hernández completes the top eight, with the KNVB paying him €3 million each year. Argentina’s Lionel Scaloni and Austria manager Ralf Rangnick occupy the final two positions in the top 10.
