Como and Roma meet at the Sinigaglia on Sunday 11 October, with the sixth round of Serie A beginning in Lombardy at 12:30. It is an early test of direction for both sides: Cesc Fabregas’s team are looking to respond after their defeat to Frosinone before the international break, while Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma arrive intent on staying close to Inter in the leading group.
The contest brings two significant absences. Como must manage without Kean, while Roma goalkeeper Svilar is unavailable. Gasperini is also without Koulierakis and Cristante, leaving Gollini set to start between the posts for the visitors.
Fabregas is expected to keep Como in a 4-2-3-1 system, with Butez in goal behind a defence of Couto, Ramon, Chalobah and Valle. Perrone and Da Cunha should form the midfield base, while Diao, Paz and Baturina are in line to support Douvikas up front. Vigorito, Sanchez, Kempf, Kaiki, Milla, Caqueret, Dossena, Ricci, Lahdo, Rodriguez, Goldaniga, Smolcic, Liberali, Kambwala and Addai are available from the bench.
Roma could line up in a 3-4-1-2, led by Gollini and a back three of Mancini, Ndicka and Hermoso. Lulli, De Roon, Koné and Wesley are expected across midfield, with Pellegrini operating behind Dybala and Malen. Vasquez, De Marzi, Rensch, Balerdi, Ghilardi, Molina, Pisilli, Mora, Soulé and Castro are among Gasperini’s alternatives.
Fabbri of Ravenna has been appointed referee for the match. Neither team has suspended players or members of the likely starting XI one booking away from suspension.
The game will be shown live exclusively on DAZN for subscribers, with coverage available through the platform’s television and streaming services.
