Coventry City and Newcastle United meet on Monday night in a Premier League fixture that carries the particular weight of an October evening: the sixth round is still young, but no club enjoys leaving points behind before the table begins to settle into its winter habits.
Why it landed this week
- Coventry City
- Newcastle United
The match is scheduled for Monday 12 October 2026, with kick-off at 21:00 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Both sides have confirmed their line-ups and are due on the pitch for the warm-up before the contest begins. It is a straightforward Premier League assignment on paper, though Monday fixtures have a way of making the rest of the weekend’s results feel rather more personal.
