Cristiano Ronaldo Mocks TV Presenter Amid Portugal Camp Exit

In Portugal’s national-team orbit, Cristiano Ronaldo has added a television exchange in London to the debate surrounding his sudden departure from the squad’s training camp.

The news from the club

Ronaldo left the Portugal setup after personal differences with head coach Jorge Jesus, a move that has kept attention fixed on the forward’s relationship with the national side. While discussion continued over his temporary absence, he became involved in a pointed off-field exchange with British presenter Simon Jordan.

The episode unfolded on Football Uncensored, where Piers Morgan, who has a close relationship with Ronaldo, defended the Portugal captain during a discussion of the dispute. Jordan, the former Crystal Palace owner and Morgan’s co-host, objected to that defence and told him on air to stop “slavishly kissing his backside”.

Morgan subsequently sent Jordan’s remarks to Ronaldo by text message. On the following day’s programme, he read out the player’s response, delivered as a joke at Jordan’s expense.

“That blond one, tell him to stop using Botox. He looks like an apple,” Ronaldo’s message said.

Jordan was not in the studio when Morgan relayed the response. Morgan then extended the joke, announcing what he called breaking news from Ronaldo: “You are an apple — a blond apple with a suspiciously smooth face.”

The exchange has brought further attention online to Ronaldo’s position after stepping away from the Portugal camp, with the striker’s disagreement with Jorge Jesus still at the centre of the conversation.
