The Miami Dolphins will be without running back De’Von Achane for the rest of the 2026 season after he tore his ACL during Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
What changed for the franchise
Achane suffered the knee injury early in the Chiefs game and was unable to return. First-year Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said afterward that the initial outlook was not encouraging.
The injury ends the season for one of Miami’s most important offensive playmakers. Achane earned his first Pro Bowl selection in 2025 and signed a four-year, $64 million contract extension during the offseason.
Miami must now adjust its running back rotation and offensive workload without Achane for the remainder of the campaign.
