Facundo Colidio has voiced his frustration at being unable to feature against Boca Juniors in the Copa Sudamericana semi-finals, describing the situation as “illogical” after attempts to resolve it with CONMEBOL came to nothing.
A bureaucratic barrier before Boca
- The former River Plate forward was left unable to take part in the Sudamericana semi-final meeting with Boca.
- Colidio said efforts were made to discuss the matter with CONMEBOL.
- Those conversations did not produce a solution, with the player blaming the competition’s bureaucracy for the impasse.
“It is illogical,” Colidio said. “We tried to speak with CONMEBOL, but it is bureaucracy.”
For the forward, the absence carries particular weight given the scale of a Boca fixture and the stage of the continental competition. His disappointment centres on missing a semi-final that would otherwise have offered a major South American occasion.
