Two approaches before the Olimpico meeting

Chivu’s absence from the media room appears to be a deliberate management decision rather than a routine scheduling matter. He has used silence before, selecting particular moments in which to keep Inter’s preparations inside the training ground.
Gasperini has taken the opposite route on this occasion. His appearance at Trigoria gives Roma’s coach the opportunity to address the match publicly before the teams meet at the Olimpico.
By kick-off, press-conference choices will matter less than the work done on the pitch. Yet Roma-Inter has already begun with two different methods: one coach speaking before the contest, the other allowing his team’s performance to provide the answer.
