Giulia Gwinn Wins Footballer of the Year Award outright

Giulia Gwinn has been named Footballer of the Year as the sole winner, following a shared award last year. Former Germany women’s coach Horst Hrubesch called it deserved recognition after an intense campaign.

Gwinn succeeds the previous year’s joint winners by taking the honour on her own. Hrubesch backed the decision, pointing to the demands of her year.
