Milwaukee’s postseason celebration picked up another note from the Dominican Republic when Jesús Made homered in his first Winter League trip to the plate for Tigres del Licey.
| Game | Ballpark | Result | Made’s first two plate appearances |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leones del Escogido at Tigres del Licey | Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal | Licey 12, Escogido 2 | Home run, single |
The 19-year-old shortstop, rated baseball’s top overall prospect, did not need much time to give his home-country crowd something to remember. Made drove out a home run in his debut plate appearance, then followed it with a base hit in his next turn during Licey’s lopsided win over Escogido.
It capped a particularly lively stretch for Brewers fans. Milwaukee had completed a four-game sweep of the Dodgers in the National League Championship Series on Thursday night, sending the club to its first World Series since 1982. Made remains one of the organization’s most prominent reinforcements on the way, part of a farm system with four players on the Top 100 prospect list.

Made spent the 2026 season with Double-A Biloxi, earned Southern League All-Star recognition and led the circuit in both RBIs and runs scored. His extra-base production included 24 doubles and six triples, while he drew 57 walks. It was also his second consecutive Futures Game appearance.
Biloxi reached the Southern League Championship Series with Made contributing in October. Over five postseason games, he went 6-for-20 with a homer, four RBIs, six runs and one stolen base.
A quick climb through Milwaukee’s system
Milwaukee signed Made out of the Dominican Republic for $950,000 in January 2024. He announced himself immediately in the Dominican Summer League, batting .331/.458/.554 across 51 Rookie-level games during his first professional summer.
| Season | Level(s) | Games | AVG | OBP | SLG | HR | Extra-base hits | SB |

| 2025 | Single-A through Double-A | 115 | .285 | .379 | .413 | 6 | 40 | 47 |
His 2025 campaign began at Single-A Carolina and ended at Double-A, where he was still only 18 years old. As a switch-hitter, Made has shown fast hands from either batter’s box and produced nearly identical platoon results that season. The power has continued to come along as he has moved up the ladder.
Made’s athleticism carries into the field and onto the bases. He owns 60-grade speed, has shown range and a quick release at shortstop, and has also received early-career looks at second and third base. The Brewers’ priority, however, is expected to remain shortstop, where Made has a chance to become a cornerstone player at one of the game’s premium positions.
