Winnipeg will take the outdoor stage in a white throwback look when the Jets meet the Montréal Canadiens in the 2026 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic at Princess Auto Stadium on Oct. 25.
Jets turn back to the franchise’s earlier years
The Jets’ uniform reaches back to the club’s visual identity from the 1980s and 1990s, shifting that classic-inspired treatment onto a white jersey that will pair with Winnipeg’s current navy alternate look.
- The primary crest is made in felt and finished with chain-stitch detailing.
- Player numbers on the back use a two-layer felt construction.
- A new jet-streak graphic surrounds the Heritage Classic event wording near the hem.
- The hem label reprises the jet-in-a-circle mark used on the team’s pants.
Fanatics developed the game uniforms in conjunction with the NHL and both clubs.
Canadiens add “Les Habitants” to the collar
Montréal’s outdoor sweater blends elements from different eras of Canadiens jersey history. The design carries the traditional red and blue palette against a vintage off-white base, with a first-time collar detail that gives the club’s long-standing nickname a place on the uniform.
- “Les Habitants” will appear on the back collar for the first time.
- A fleur-de-lis on the loop label recognizes Québec.
- The CH crest has been redrawn with older Canadiens styles in mind.
- That crest is built in felt and includes running-stitch work.
Outdoor hockey returns to Winnipeg
The Heritage Classic returns after a three-season absence, bringing an outdoor regular-season game back to a country where the setting remains a central part of the hockey calendar. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 25, with Sportsnet, TVA Sports, TNT, truTV and HBO Max carrying the game.
It will be Winnipeg’s third outdoor appearance and its second at Princess Auto Stadium. The Jets previously played the Edmonton Oilers there in the 2016 Heritage Classic, then faced the Calgary Flames at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium in the 2019 edition.
The Canadiens will make their fifth outdoor regular-season appearance, their first since 2017. Montréal enters the event with a 2-2-0 record in its four previous outdoor games.
