Portugal coach Jorge Jesus dismissed any suggestion of tension involving Cristiano Ronaldo, insisting there was no problem within the national-team camp.
Speaking at a press conference, Jesus rejected the idea that Ronaldo had declined to take part in training, describing the matter as one that did not exist.
“There is no problem here, man,” the Portugal coach said. “Do you think any player in a national team would refuse to train?”
Jesus’s intervention sought to close down the discussion around Ronaldo’s involvement as Portugal continue their international preparations.
