In Portugal’s next international window, Jorge Jesus has included Cristiano Ronaldo in his first plans as the national team’s new coach, while making clear that selection will not guarantee the veteran forward a place on the pitch.
Jesus has called up Ronaldo, widely known as “El Bicho”, for the coming fixtures but indicated that his minutes will depend on his condition and level. The new Portugal manager’s message is that the forward will play only when he meets the standards required by the squad.
