Matty Beniers took a turn in Seattle’s football spotlight before the Kraken return to their own building work, raising the “12th Man” flag at Lumen Field ahead of Sunday night’s Seahawks game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Kraken forward wore a custom Seahawks No. 10 jersey and fired up the crowd before kickoff in the prime-time NFL matchup.
After the horn
Beniers’ appearance put one of Seattle hockey’s young faces in front of the city’s loudest football tradition. The flag ceremony is a signature pregame moment at Lumen Field, where the Seahawks recognize the support of their “12s.”
