Lazio continued their preparation for the next Serie A round with a closed-door friendly against Juve Stabia at the Formello training centre, using the afternoon to keep rhythm during the build-up to Monza.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side faced their second Serie B opponent within a week, with kick-off set for 15:00 at Lazio’s training base. The exercise comes before Sunday 11 October, when Lazio are due to meet Ivan Juric’s Monza at 15:00.
For Gattuso, these days are part of the quieter work that sits behind a league campaign: training-ground minutes, selection considerations and the gradual approach to a Sunday fixture that will again place Lazio under the demands of Serie A.
Juve Stabia arrived in Rome under Pietro De Giorgio, with the Serie B club currently bottom of the table after a four-point deduction. Their own competitive focus will return with a match against Virtus Entella, coached by Chiappella, when the league resumes.
