The final whistle at Paris FC’s 2-1 win over Strasbourg did not end the tension. A confrontation involving players, staff and security personnel followed after Strasbourg supporters targeted Paris coach Liam Rosenior during the second half.
The Ligue de Football Professionnel has opened disciplinary proceedings over the incidents, which were recorded in the match delegate’s report.

Rosenior’s post-match response to the visiting end came after sustained abuse from Strasbourg fans. His gesture prompted an angry exchange at the edge of the pitch, with numerous members of both clubs drawn into the incident.
The case will now be sent to the LFP disciplinary commission. The commission is due to formally examine the file at its meeting on Wednesday.
An investigation will follow before the commission determines whether sanctions are warranted for the events surrounding the match.
