Spain’s next European night will unfold at Wembley, where Luis de la Fuente’s side face England in their opening UEFA Nations League fixture.
The squad trained on Friday morning at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas before travelling to London. Once in the English capital, De la Fuente and midfielder Rodri Hernández are due to speak to the media at 20:00 local time, 21:00 in mainland Spain, on the eve of the meeting with the Three Lions.
Preparations in Madrid included the customary small-sided training match, with Spain’s official channels naming 13 players on the winning team: Lamine Yamal, Roberto, Iván Fresneda, Aymeric Laporte, Álex Baena, Marc Pubill, Marc Cucurella, David Raya, Mikel Oyarzabal, Martín Zubimendi, Yeremy Pino, Fermín López and Pedri.
The Wembley occasion places Spain immediately in one of the competition’s most demanding away settings. De la Fuente and Rodri will address the final questions before a Nations League debut that brings two major European national sides together in London.
