Max Dowman’s rise at Arsenal has now been entered into the record books, with the 16-year-old receiving three official Guinness World Records certificates for milestones reached in England and Europe.
The attacking midfielder, part of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal set-up, is included in the 2027 Guinness World Records Football Edition as a member of its “Class of 27”. His collection reflects an extraordinary early passage through senior football rather than the usual slow apprenticeship.
Dowman’s three Guinness records
- Dowman became the youngest player to appear in the UEFA Champions League, doing so at 15 years and 308 days old.
- He holds the record as the Premier League’s youngest goalscorer, having scored at the age of 16 years and 73 days.
- He is also the youngest footballer to win the Premier League, at 16 years and 144 days.
Three certificates before a player’s 17th birthday is unusual territory even for Arsenal, a club with a long history of giving gifted youngsters a route towards the first team. Dowman’s name now sits in Guinness World Records alongside the domestic and European landmarks of his rapid emergence.
