She received all 74 votes from the national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters after turning a full 40-game starting assignment into one of the most productive rookie campaigns the league has seen.
In 40 appearances, all in the opening group, Miles posted 19.8 points, 6.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds per night. Her 790 total points moved past Caitlin Clark’s 2024 rookie scoring mark of 769, giving Miles the single-season rookie record while carrying a significant share of Minnesota’s offensive workload.
The monthly awards tracked the same story. Miles was selected Rookie of the Month in each of the regular season’s four award periods, leaving no gap in her case by the time the final ballots were cast.
Now the attention shifts to the postseason. The Lynx enter the WNBA Playoffs as the top seed and will chase a record fifth championship, with Miles moving from a landmark rookie regular season into the pressure of a title run.
