Week 1 injury picture takes shape

Garrett was on the field Sunday after dealing with a knee injury. McVay said a final determination on the defensive end’s status for the opening week will come Tuesday.

Nacua, sidelined recently by psoas soreness, is expected to play in Week 1. The wide receiver could still face league discipline under the NFL personal conduct policy stemming from prior off-field behavior.

Jackson is also projected to be available for the opener. The offensive lineman remains subject to possible NFL discipline following his June arrest on suspicion of domestic violence.

Donald participated in Sunday’s session, and McVay will address the defensive lineman’s Week 1 outlook Tuesday.

Elsewhere on the injury report, Henderson did not practice because of an ankle issue. Brown missed practice with a knee injury, as did Barmore.

Seattle’s Sunday report brought a mix of progress and limitations. Running back Emanuel Wilson was a full participant while recovering from a hamstring injury. Wide receiver Tory Horton, guard Anthony Bradford, tackle Josh Jones and safety Nick Emmanwori were limited. Tight end AJ Barner was a full participant despite an oblique issue. Safety Ty Okada did not practice because of a hamstring injury.

Extensions and roster transactions

Winston is set to remain with New York on a two-year, $13 million extension. The 32-year-old quarterback backed up Dart last season and made two starts, completing the year with 567 passing yards, two touchdown throws and two interceptions.

Runyan also reached an extension agreement, landing a two-year contract worth $22 million. The deal carries $21.5 million guaranteed.

Several clubs also made practice-squad moves, signing tight end Brayden Willis and safety D’Anthony Bell. Linebacker Marvin Jones Jr. was released from a practice-squad spot.
