Paralluelo Scores as Lyon Thrash PSG 4-0 to Maintain Perfect Start

In Lyon, the early-season race at the summit took a decisive turn as Jonatan Giráldez’s side swept Paris Saint-Germain aside 4-0, with Salma Paralluelo again among the scorers.

The news from the club

Lyon made a commanding statement against one of their principal rivals, extending their perfect opening to the campaign to five wins from five matches. The result leaves the club top of the table on 15 points, three clear of both PSG and Paris FC, who each have 12.

The home side struck almost immediately. Melchie Dumornay headed Lyon in front in the third minute, giving the match a direction PSG could not reverse.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto added Lyon’s second in the 39th minute before Vicki Becho widened the margin shortly after the interval, scoring in the 48th.

Paralluelo, formerly of Barcelona, completed the scoring on 59 minutes. Her fourth goal capped a one-sided evening and continued her productive run in Lyon colours.

After the final whistle, Lyon’s players celebrated enthusiastically in the dressing room. Paralluelo joined the singing and dancing before the squad gathered for a team photograph, marking a five-match start in which they have taken every available point.
