Pisa Appoint Former Juventus Executive Damien Comolli as President and CEO

Pisa have opened a new boardroom chapter, appointing Damien Comolli as both president and chief executive officer while majority owner Alexander Knaster retains control of the Tuscan club.

The former Juventus executive succeeds Giuseppe Corrado as president and Giovanni Corrado as CEO, bringing an end to the Corrado family’s decade at the centre of the club’s leadership. Their period included Pisa’s long-awaited return to Serie A in 2025.

Quick facts

  • Damien Comolli has been named Pisa president and CEO.
  • He will also take a seat on the club’s board of directors.
  • Comolli has agreed an initial three-year contract.
  • Alexander Knaster remains Pisa’s majority shareholder.
  • Giuseppe Corrado and Giovanni Corrado leave after 10 years in their respective roles.
  • Pisa returned to Serie A in 2025 during the Corrado era.

Knaster described the appointment as the beginning of a further stage in Pisa’s development. He said the club had made important progress across its operations over recent seasons and that Comolli’s experience and understanding of football made him the right figure to lead the next period of growth.

The owner also paid tribute to the departing Corrados, saying they had given a great deal to Pisa and had been central figures in the club’s life over the past decade. Knaster said their contribution was valued by staff, players and supporters, adding that his relationship with them would remain one of friendship.

Giuseppe and Giovanni Corrado said that 10 years amounted to an era and that Pisa would always remain an important part of their lives. They thanked the club’s employees and the city for their support and affection, while also acknowledging Knaster’s backing and friendship after the early phase of a project launched alongside Enzo Ricci.

They leave with the hope that Pisa can continue the substantial progress made during their time in charge, a journey that ultimately carried the club back into Serie A.

Comolli said he was pleased to join a club which, under Knaster’s ownership, had already taken significant steps forward. He pointed to Pisa’s scope for further development, both in its organisation and through plans for a modern new training centre.

For Pisa, the change is not one of ownership but of direction at executive level. With Comolli installed on a three-year deal and the Corrado chapter closed, the club move into their next Serie A phase with a new president and CEO overseeing the work ahead.
