PSG supporters have been barred from travelling to Marseille for Sunday night’s Ligue 1 meeting, leaving the Velodrome derby without an away following.

The Interior Ministry has issued an order prohibiting Paris Saint-Germain supporters from making the trip to Marseille for the fifth round fixture, scheduled for Sunday 20 September at 20:45.
The measure applies from midnight until midnight on matchday. Anyone claiming to be a PSG supporter, or behaving as one, is forbidden from travelling individually or collectively by any means between municipalities in the Île-de-France region and Marseille.
It strengthens restrictions already imposed locally on 9 September by the delegated police prefect for the Bouches-du-Rhône department. That earlier order prevents PSG supporters from entering the Stade Vélodrome, as well as from gathering or moving on public roads in Marseille city centre and around the stadium.
The national order cites the regular violence involving Marseille supporters at home matches, including clashes between groups of fans and incidents targeting police officers. It also states that PSG followers have frequently caused public-order problems during away fixtures because of violent behaviour.
Authorities also pointed to the long-running hostility between supporters of Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, a rivalry that has produced serious confrontations on several occasions.

Marseille host PSG at the Stade Vélodrome on Sunday 20 September, with kick-off set for 20:45 in the fifth Ligue 1 round.
