PSG Sweat on Hakimi Fitness Ahead of Crucial Marseille Clash

Paris Saint-Germain’s preparations for Sunday’s trip to Marseille have been clouded by uncertainty over Achraf Hakimi, with the Morocco international still working away from the main group.

Hakimi sustained a minor injury to his right thigh during PSG’s 1-0 win at Brest last Sunday. He received treatment on Tuesday and Wednesday, even as the rest of the squad were on scheduled rest days.

In Friday’s medical update, the club confirmed that the right-back was completing an individual session on the pitch rather than returning to collective training.

Marseille trip now in doubt

PSG travel to Marseille on Sunday for a Ligue 1 fixture scheduled to kick off at 20:45. With only two days remaining before the match and Hakimi yet to rejoin full training, his chances of being involved appear limited.

The defender’s absence would remove one of Paris’s most forceful attacking outlets from the right flank, while the club continues to manage what has been described as a slight thigh problem.
