Quinn Priester’s Uncle to Pilot Brewers’ World Series Flight to Tampa

The Brewers’ trip to Tampa after Saturday night’s Game 2 will have a family connection in the cockpit. Milwaukee right-hander Quinn Priester will not be on the active pitching staff after June thoracic outlet decompression surgery, but his uncle, GJ Priester, is set to fly the National League champions south for the next leg of the World Series.

World Series travel note Details

A Brewers family flight

GJ Priester will captain the charter carrying Milwaukee to Florida, with Quinn’s cousin Alex Priester serving as first officer. The flight gives the Brewers a familiar face as they leave home for the first time in this Fall Classic and continue their push for the first World Series championship in franchise history.

It is not GJ Priester’s first assignment with the club. He also flew the Brewers back to Milwaukee from Texas after a 2025 series against the Rangers.

Quinn Priester remains with the club in spirit

Quinn Priester’s season ended when he underwent surgery in June, leaving him unable to return to the mound this year. Still, he has been backing his teammates through the postseason, and his relatives will be doing the same from the flight deck.

GJ and Alex Priester are from the area outside Chicago, but they have adopted Milwaukee along the way. A few days from now, they will be hoping the same passengers they bring into Tampa are riding home with a World Series title.
