Nnamdi Madubuike could be closing in on a return for Baltimore after the defensive tackle said he is in “a good place” as he works back from a neck injury that has kept him out since September 2025.
Madubuike practiced fully on Wednesday and left his availability for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys unresolved, saying, “We’ll see” when asked whether he would play. His potential return would give Baltimore a significant interior presence against Dallas.
Seahawks monitoring Darnold’s status
Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold is attempting to make it back for Sunday’s matchup with the Commanders after missing most of the past two weeks because of a glute injury.
Darnold was hurt during Seattle’s Week 1 game and returned to the practice field Wednesday. He said he is “striving” to be ready for the Washington game, though his final game status remains unsettled.
Chubb to retire with Browns
Nick Chubb will formally retire as a Cleveland Brown on Friday, the club announced. The running back initially entered the league when Cleveland selected him in the 2018 draft and announced his NFL retirement in August.
Chubb’s retirement ceremony will mark the end of his association with the franchise that drafted him and where he became one of the league’s most productive rushers.
