Roberto Piccoli Forced Off in Bologna’s Clash with Inter

Bologna’s season has brought another injury concern for Raffaele Palladino, with Roberto Piccoli forced off during the match against Inter after Riccardo Orsolini had already been lost in the previous outing against Lecce.

Piccoli withdrawn against Inter

  1. Piccoli went down following a collision with Inter defender Manuel Akanji.
  2. The Bologna forward initially remained on the pitch, but soon asked to be replaced after feeling discomfort in the hamstring area of his right thigh.
  3. Palladino made the change in the 30th minute, bringing Jay Enem into the match.

Enem arrived with confidence after scoring in the previous Serie A round, but his introduction was prompted by another unwelcome setback for a Bologna side already dealing with Orsolini’s absence.

A growing problem for Palladino

The immediate extent of Piccoli’s muscular issue was not specified, yet his early departure adds to the concerns around Bologna’s attacking options. With Orsolini having been injured against Lecce and Piccoli unable to continue against Inter, Palladino faces a demanding period in managing his forward line as the league campaign moves on.
