Schmid and Hojlund Score in Nations League During Serie A Break

Serie A’s international break brought two goals of interest to Italy, with Frosinone midfielder Romano Schmid and Napoli forward Rasmus Hojlund finding the net in Nations League action.

Schmid gave Austria an early advantage from the penalty spot against Israel, converting for 1-0. The midfielder will return to Frosinone having made his mark for his national side before the league schedule resumes.

Hojlund was also on target in Denmark’s Nations League meeting with Norway. The Napoli centre-forward scored Denmark’s temporary equaliser at 2-2, adding another international contribution during a period that has also included friendlies and Under-21 European Championship qualifying fixtures for several Serie A players.

For both clubs, the break has offered a reminder of the international responsibility carried by members of their squads as the domestic campaign prepares to restart.
