Serie A’s sixth round begins with Genoa hosting Fiorentina on Saturday 10 October at 15:00 and runs through to Torino against Udinese on Monday 12 October, kicking off at 20:45. For fantasy managers, the defensive choices span established starters, players capable of bringing returns, and several options whose involvement remains uncertain.
Key takeaways
- Genoa-Fiorentina opens the matchweek on Saturday afternoon.
- Torino-Udinese brings the round to a close on Monday night.
- Dimarco, Wesley, Bremer, Bastoni and Bisseck lead the highest-ranked defensive group.
- The second tier includes regular Serie A options such as Di Lorenzo, Scalvini, Rrahmani and Lucumi.
- A number of lower-ranked defenders may struggle for minutes as well as fantasy points this weekend.
A matchweek framed by defensive decisions
The weekend begins in Genoa, where Fiorentina travel to face the Rossoblu, before the final fixture in Turin sees Torino meet Udinese. Between those two games, the round offers a broad range of defensive selections for fantasy squads.
The first group is made up of the leading names: defenders expected to offer the strongest combination of reliability, rating potential and attacking contribution. The second band contains players who remain attractive choices and could produce positive returns. The third is for more speculative selections, including those lower in their teams’ pecking orders but still capable of delivering a respectable score. The final category carries the greatest risk, either because the fixture is difficult or because a playing appearance is far from assured.
