Paris Saint-Germain’s effort to give its young players regular minutes has sent Tanté Diakité west for the season, with the 18-year-old midfielder joining Nantes on loan.
Diakité heads to Nantes after Graziani move
- PSG agreed a season-long temporary move for Diakité, one day after Ornella Graziani left the club on loan for Juventus.
- The France Under-19 international arrived in Paris from Reims in 2024 and made 13 appearances in all competitions last season.
- Diakité will now seek a larger role at Nantes, where the midfield prospect can gain top-flight experience away from the demanding competition for places in the Paris squad.
A quick reunion awaits in Paris
The timing gives the move an immediate edge. PSG and Nantes meet in the capital on Friday at 21:00, with the match to be shown on Canal+ Sport 360.
After two league rounds, PSG have taken a perfect six points, level with Lyon and Marseille. Nantes, meanwhile, have collected one point from their opening two matches.
For Diakité, the loan offers a fresh route into the season: a young midfielder leaving the Paris lights behind, but with a rapid return to the city already written into the fixture list.
