Torino vs Udinese: Abate’s Granata Look to Reverse Recent Trend

Torino return home against Udinese with a history that broadly favours the Granata, though the most recent meetings offer a more difficult reminder. In 42 official home matches against the Friulani, Torino have won 22 times, drawn nine and lost 11. Yet the two encounters played in the 2025/26 season both ended in Udinese victories.

The coach and the club

Under Ignazio Abate, Torino are expected to use a 3-4-1-2 system. Marco Perri is set to start in goal, behind a three-man defence of Pietro Comuzzo, Saul Coco and Guillermo Rodriguez.

Ali Belghali, Tiago Bragança, Rolando Mandragora and Cacciamani are named across midfield, with Gaetano Oristanio operating behind the forward pair of Che Adams and Giovanni Simeone.

Kosta Runjaic’s Udinese are listed in a 3-4-2-1 formation. Maduka Okoye is due to play in goal, protected by Festy Ebosse, Oumar Solet and Emmanuel Abankwah.

Mërgim Vojvoda, Sandi Lovric Karlstrom, Oier Zarraga and Hassane Kamara make up the midfield line. Jurgen Ekkelenkamp and Giorgi Chakvetadze are expected to support Unai Gomez, who leads the attack.

Match officials and coverage

Valerio Crezzini will referee the match. Cavallina and Zezza are the assistant referees, while Davide Massa is fourth official. Volpi has been appointed VAR, with Camplone assisting him.

The fixture will be shown live in Italy on DAZN, Sky Sport Calcio, Sky Sport 4K and Sky Sport 251. Streaming coverage will be available through DAZN, NOW and Sky Go.
