Torino vs Udinese: Adams Returns as Unai Gomez Leads Friulani Attack

Serie A resumes after the international break with Torino hosting Udinese at the Olimpico Grande Torino, where the sixth round concludes under the lights at 20:45. Ignazio Abate brings Che Adams back alongside Giovanni Simeone, while Kosta Runjaic has Unai Gomez available again to lead Udinese’s attack.

Key takeaways

• Torino and Udinese close Serie A’s sixth matchday in Turin.
• Abate selects Perri in goal behind Comuzzo, Coco and Rodriguez.
• Che Adams returns to partner Simeone, with Oristanio operating behind the forwards.
• Udinese retain Okoye and their established three-man defensive unit of Abankwah, Solet and Ebosse.
• Recovered forward Unai Gomez starts for Runjaic, supported by Ekkelenkamp and Chakvetadze.

Torino reshape their attacking line

Torino begin with Perri between the posts and a back three formed by Pietro Comuzzo, Saul Coco and Guillermo Rodriguez. Belghali and Cacciamani occupy the wing-back roles, either side of Mandragora and Bragança in central midfield.

The principal selection note comes further forward. Adams returns to the starting side to join Simeone, while Oristanio is chosen in the attacking midfield position behind them. It gives Abate two recognised forwards for a fixture that marks the club’s return to league action after the international pause.

Udinese trust familiar defensive foundations

Runjaic keeps faith with Okoye in goal and the defensive trio of Abankwah, Solet and Ebosse. Vojvoda and Kamara are named on the flanks, with Zarraga and Karlstrom set to operate in the middle of the pitch.

Udinese’s forward line is led by Unai Gomez following his recovery. Ekkelenkamp and Chakvetadze start behind him, completing a side built around continuity at the back and the return of an important attacking option.
