Buffalo improved to 4-1 after Tyler Bass drilled a 45-yard field goal in overtime to complete a 37-34 road win over the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Monday night.
What changed for the franchise
The Bills survived a wild finish after their special teams unit blocked what would have been a game-winning Rams field-goal attempt. Buffalo then moved into range for Bass, whose overtime kick ended the contest.
Los Angeles fell to 2-3 in a game that swung repeatedly between the two teams. There were six lead changes and 24 accepted penalties.
The matchup opened quietly before both offenses broke loose after halftime. The teams combined for 48 points in the second half of regulation, with 35 of those points coming during the fourth quarter.
Buffalo ultimately delivered the final score in overtime, turning the blocked kick into a decisive road victory.
