Udinese welcome Cagliari at the Bluenergy Stadium with a recent record firmly on their side, having avoided defeat in 13 of their last 14 meetings with the Sardinian club. Cagliari’s only win in that sequence came away from home in April 2021, when Joao Pedro scored the decisive goal.
Likely line-ups
Fabio Pisacane’s Cagliari are expected to begin in a 4-3-2-1 formation, with Elia Caprile in goal behind a defence of Ze Pedro, Yerry Mina, Rodriguez and Adam Obert. Filippo Romano, Harry Winks and Alessandro Deiola should form the midfield, while Michel Adopo and Daniel Maldini support forward Bamba Mendy.
Kosta Runjaic is set to use a 3-4-2-1 system for Udinese. Maduka Okoye is expected between the posts, with James Abankwah, Christian Kabasele and Enzo Ebosse making up the back three. Festy Ebosele? No, Vojvoda, Sandi Lovric? The anticipated midfield features Vojvoda, Karlstrom, Miller and Kamara, while Nicolò Zaniolo and Ekkelenkamp operate behind Keinan Davis.
