Venezia will use the international break to steady a season that has begun without a result, with the club keeping faith in Giovanni Stroppa despite growing pressure after a difficult opening run.
There has been no decision to change coach at the Penzo. Internal assessments have not led Venezia to withdraw their backing from Stroppa, although the weeks ahead will demand a response from the team and his staff.

Two further setbacks at home have intensified the scrutiny. Fiorentina left the Penzo with a 4-2 victory before Lazio followed with a 2-0 win, leaving Stroppa’s side searching for the balance and confidence that have so far eluded them.
The Coppa Italia has offered no relief. Venezia were knocked out 2-1 by Udinese after their earlier victory over Serie B side Modena in the round of 32, played on Ferragosto.
The break therefore arrives as a working period rather than a pause from the noise. Stroppa and his closest assistants must reorganise the training ground work and find a way to produce a turn in form.
It will not be a gentle return. Venezia face Atalanta and Napoli before a direct meeting with Genoa, followed by fixtures against Inter and Como. The sequence gives the coach little room for delay, but the board’s current decision is clear: the next chapter will still be written with Stroppa on the bench.
