Week 2 Fantasy Sleepers: Kaelon Black and Deebo Samuel Bring Upside

Week 1 restored the familiar highs and frustrations of fantasy football, from lineup decisions made over Sunday morning coffee to unexpected goal-line scores that swung matchups at the last minute.

Several prominent early-round selections did not deliver the opening-week production fantasy managers expected. Ja’Marr Chase, Omarion Hampton and De’Von Achane were among the players whose Week 1 returns fell short of their draft-day expectations.

There were also early wins for managers who trusted less-heralded options. Isaiah Likely finished as the top-ranked fantasy tight end for the week, while Juwan Johnson checked in at TE7, giving both players a strong opening statement.

Not every breakout candidate carried momentum into the new season. Marvin Harrison Jr. ended Week 1 at WR78, a disappointing result for a receiver widely viewed as a potential difference-maker in fantasy lineups.

Week 2 brings another round of decisions

The first slate offered a reminder that fantasy results can change quickly, whether through a surprise touchdown near the goal line or a star player failing to turn opportunity into points. Managers now move into Week 2 weighing whether to stay patient with underperforming starters or chase the players who flashed early value.
