Zidane and Rabiot Preview France’s Nations League Opener Against Turkey

Zinédine Zidane will take his first official step as France coach on Friday night, with Turkey providing the opening test of the Nations League campaign at 20:45.

On the eve of the match, Zidane will face the media alongside France captain Adrien Rabiot to discuss the squad’s preparation and the physical condition of his players before the trip to Turkey.

Zidane set for first competitive France fixture

The Turkey match marks Zidane’s first competitive game in charge of Les Bleus. The new coach is expected to outline the tactical direction he intends to take as France begin a new cycle.

Friday’s meeting is the first matchday of the Nations League and offers Zidane an immediate opportunity to establish momentum ahead of a demanding early sequence.

Rabiot leads France into new campaign

Rabiot will attend the pre-match press conference as captain, with questions set to focus on the group’s readiness and the work completed in the build-up to the opening fixture.

France’s calendar will continue with further meetings against Belgium on 28 September and 5 October, as well as a match against Italy on 3 October.
