Alaric Jackson Faces Scrutiny After Postgame Strike on Bradley Chubb

Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson could face fresh scrutiny after he struck Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb during postgame jersey exchanges following Buffalo’s 37-34 overtime win on Monday night in Inglewood, California.

Postgame confrontation

  1. Jackson and Chubb met on the field after the Bills completed their overtime victory over the Rams.
  2. During the jersey-swapping period, Chubb said something forcefully before turning and walking away from Jackson.
  3. Jackson finished exchanging his jersey, then followed Chubb and confronted him.
  4. Jackson hit Chubb in the head, knocking Chubb’s hat off.
  5. Players from both teams quickly intervened and separated the two.

Jackson’s pending personal conduct questions

The confrontation comes while Jackson is still awaiting any NFL decision connected to a June 9 arrest on suspicion of felony domestic violence. The arrest followed an alleged confrontation with a woman at Jackson’s San Fernando Valley home.

That case was placed into a prefiling diversion process, a resolution that could allow Jackson to avoid criminal charges. The league has not announced whether it will impose discipline under its personal conduct policy.

Jackson also was suspended for the opening two games of the 2024 season for an undisclosed personal conduct policy violation. The suspension became connected to allegations raised in a 2025 lawsuit, in which a woman accused him of recording sexual activity on his phone without her consent. The alleged incident did not become public until the lawsuit was filed.

Rams tenure

Now in his fourth year as the Rams’ starting left tackle, Jackson is among the club’s longest-serving players. The Canadian-American lineman entered the NFL as an undrafted player from Iowa and earned a Super Bowl ring as a reserve offensive lineman in February 2022.

Los Angeles retained Jackson on a three-year contract worth $57 million in February 2025.
