Spain’s Super Cup will take a rare detour to Istanbul in February 2027, with Barcelona set to begin their title defence against Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid drawn against Real Sociedad.
The draw
The four-team competition starts directly at the semi-final stage. Barcelona, who lifted the previous edition after a 3-2 victory over Real Madrid, will meet Atlético on Tuesday, 2 February 2027. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00.
Real Sociedad and Real Madrid will contest the second semi-final a day later, on Wednesday, 3 February, also at 20:00.

Istanbul replaces Saudi Arabia
Both semi-finals will be played in Istanbul rather than Saudi Arabia, which has become the regular host of the Spanish Super Cup in recent years.
Saudi Arabia’s hosting commitments for the Asian Cup at the same time prevented it from staging this edition, sending the competition to Turkey instead.
