Barcelona vs Getafe: Kick-off Time and How to Watch LaLiga Matchday 8

Barcelona return to the Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday, 10 October, with Getafe arriving from Madrid for a LaLiga Matchday 8 meeting that places the division’s perfect early leaders against a side still searching for consistency.

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona have taken 21 points from seven matches and can make it eight domestic victories in succession. Kick-off is set for 10:30am in central Mexico, with Sky Sports and izzi carrying the match there.

Barcelona’s fast start faces a different test

The Catalan club have set the early pace in Spain through both volume and control, scoring 31 goals while conceding seven across their opening seven league fixtures. Their unbeaten sequence has put them at the summit, and another win would strengthen that position before the season settles into its longer autumn rhythm.

Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Fermín López are among the attacking players expected to provide Barcelona’s invention and threat. Gabriel Jesus is also considered an option to add to the forward line, while the availability of Raphinha and Joan García will be watched before the opening whistle.

Getafe travel north under José Bordalás in 11th place on eight points. Their record stands at two wins, two draws and three defeats, with four goals scored and seven allowed. Against the league’s most productive attack, improving their output at the other end will be essential if they are to leave Catalonia with a result.

A history weighted towards the hosts

League meetings between the clubs have largely belonged to Barcelona. In 46 such encounters, the hosts have won 32 times, Getafe have claimed four victories, and 10 matches have finished level.

That record and Barcelona’s current form make Flick’s side the clear frontrunners, but Bordalás’s visitors will seek to make the evening uncomfortable through their defensive organisation. For Barcelona, the task is straightforward: preserve the winning run and remain firmly in command of the LaLiga table.
