The Chicago Blackhawks brought a little South Side baseball spirit into United Center on Saturday, arriving for their game against the Carolina Hurricanes in Chicago White Sox gear.
Players walked into the rink wearing White Sox home jerseys, black caps and other club apparel as the baseball team faced a season-defining night in Cleveland.
After the horn
The White Sox were set to meet the Cleveland Guardians in Game 5 of the American League Division Series, with the winner moving on to face the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Championship Series.
That series winner would earn a place in the 2026 World Series. The Blackhawks’ pregame wardrobe made their baseball allegiance clear before puck drop against Carolina.
