Bologna Squad for Inter: Orsolini and Holm Out, Odgaard Returns

Bologna approach the visit of Inter with a little more continuity behind them, having drawn with Torino before taking victory at Lecce’s Via del Mare. The Dall’Ara now hosts one of the early fixtures of Serie A’s seventh round, a test that arrives as Raffaele Palladino continues to shape his group through injuries and returning players.

The coach and the club

Palladino has selected 26 players for the meeting with Inter. The Bologna coach must manage without Emil Holm, who recently underwent an operation to repair the hamstring tendon in his right thigh.

Riccardo Orsolini is also unavailable after suffering a first-degree injury to the biceps femoris muscle of his right thigh. Their absences narrow the options available for a demanding afternoon against Inter, but the squad has received two useful recoveries.

Samuel Mbangula is back after fully overcoming the minor muscle problem sustained while away on international duty. Jens Odgaard has also returned to fitness following an injury to the flexor muscles in his right thigh.

Bologna’s squad for Inter

  • Goalkeepers: Happonen, Pessina, Skorupski.
  • Defenders: Alhassane, Casale, Darmian, De Silvestri, Heggem, Helland, Miranda, Theate, Vitik, Zortea.
  • Midfielders: Amondarain, Odgaard, Bernardeschi, El Azzouzi, Ferguson, Libra, Moro, Pobega, Mbangula.
  • Forwards: Cambiaghi, Dovbyk, Enem, Piccoli.

The Inter match gives Bologna an opportunity to extend the response begun under Palladino: first the point against Torino, then the away win in Lecce, and now a home occasion against one of the division’s major opponents.
