Sunday evening at the Dall’Ara brings Bologna and Inter together at 18:00, with both coaches shaping their sides around notable absences and a demanding place in the Serie A season.
The coach and the club
Raffaele Palladino must send Bologna out without Riccardo Orsolini. His response is a side built around Lukasz Skorupski in goal, protected by Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Casale and Arthur Theate.
Tommaso Pobega and Lewis Ferguson form the central pairing, while Nadir Zortea and Juan Miranda operate on the flanks. Bologna’s attacking line consists of Federico Bernardeschi, Roberto Piccoli and Nicolo Cambiaghi.
Inter arrive with Cristian Chivu unable to call on Lautaro Martinez, who is expected to remain unavailable for several weeks. Josep Martinez starts in goal behind a three-man defence of Yann Bisseck, Manuel Akanji and Alessandro Bastoni.
Chivu places Nicolo Barella, Piotr Zielinski and Petar Sucic through the middle, with Luis Henrique and Federico Dimarco providing the width. Marcus Thuram partners Pio Esposito in attack.
