Como’s demanding early-season rhythm continues on Tuesday night, when Cesc Fabregas takes his side to the Olimpico Grande Torino for the ninth-round meeting with Torino.
The match is scheduled for 20:45 and comes in the midweek programme, with Como required to adjust their plans after several players were ruled out of the travelling squad.
Quick facts
- Torino host Como on Tuesday at 20:45.
- The fixture is part of Serie A’s ninth matchday.
- Kean, Liberali, Jesus Rodriguez, Chalobah and Diao are unavailable.
- Primavera midfielder Papaccioli receives his first senior call-up.
- Fabregas has named 23 players for the trip to Turin.
Fabregas will be without Kean, Liberali, Jesus Rodriguez, Chalobah and Diao. Their absences reduce his options as Como enter another important away afternoon in a season shaped by the need to manage a new squad through a crowded calendar.
The encouraging note is the inclusion of Papaccioli. The midfielder has been brought in from the Primavera side and will experience his first call-up with the senior group.
Goalkeepers Jean Butez, Mauro Vigorito and Sanchez are available, while the defensive unit includes Kempf, Alex Valle, Jacobo Ramon, Alberto Dossena, Kaiki Bruno, Edoardo Goldaniga, Yan Couto, Ivan Smolcic and Kambwala.
In midfield, Fabregas can call on Maximo Perrone, Milla, Lucas Da Cunha, Maxence Caqueret, Lahdo, Martin Baturina, Ricci and Papaccioli. The attacking choices are Douvikas, Nico Paz and Addai.
For Como, the Turin trip is another measure of their capacity to keep their identity intact despite an altered selection. The ninth round offers no pause: the board, the coach and the squad must keep building their campaign one difficult appointment at a time.
