Dani Olmo Injured on 100th Barcelona Appearance Against PSG

Paris brought a painful interruption to Dani Olmo’s landmark evening as Barcelona’s 27-year-old midfielder left the pitch injured in the 29th minute at the Parc des Princes, on the night of his 100th appearance for the club.

A century cut short in Paris

Olmo went down after an incident involving Vitinha. The precise nature of the injury was not immediately clear, but he appeared to have been stepped on before planting awkwardly and falling to the turf. As he made his way off, he was seen holding the adductor area.

  • Olmo was forced off in the 29th minute.
  • The match marked his 100th outing in Barcelona colours.
  • The early indication was discomfort around the adductor rather than a clearly identified diagnosis.
  • Vitinha appeared to be involved in the sequence before Olmo’s awkward fall.

An unbroken run ends

The setback halted an exceptional stretch of availability for the Spain international. Since returning on 3 January, Olmo had featured in every Barcelona match across all competitions.

  • He had taken part in 44 consecutive Barcelona matches.
  • That run comprised 32 games from last season and the 12 played so far in the current campaign.
  • His previous absence came on 3 December, when he dislocated a shoulder after scoring against Atlético de Madrid.
  • Olmo’s last muscular injury had been on 10 October 2025.

Dembélé departs before Olmo

Olmo was not the first forward-thinking player to leave the contest. Ten minutes earlier, Ousmane Dembélé had also been substituted after feeling a sharp pain in the back of his left thigh.

The French attacker, once of Barcelona, was replaced by Ferran Torres, another player with a Barcelona past. The two enforced changes gave the evening at the Parc des Princes an unwanted injury theme, with Olmo’s condition now an added concern for the travelling Catalan side.
