Bologna travel to Lecce on Sunday with Mattia Darmian immediately included in Raffaele Palladino’s 25-man squad, giving the Rossoblù a new option after Emil Holm’s injury.
The decision
Darmian has joined Bologna as a free agent and is available for the 3pm kick-off at the Via del Mare. His arrival addresses the vacancy created by Holm’s absence, with Palladino adding the experienced defender straight to his group for the trip south.
Three players are unavailable for the Lecce match. Holm remains out, while Jens Odgaard is expected to return around the eighth matchday. Samuel Mbangula also misses out after suffering a problem during international duty.
The call-up list contains three goalkeepers and a full selection across defence, midfield and attack, with Bologna seeking to manage another demanding away afternoon in the early part of the Serie A season.
