Copenhagen’s Parken Stadium gave Denmark the response it needed in Nations League Group A4, as a 2-0 victory over Wales restored momentum after an opening-night defeat in Norway.
Denmark find their first points
Denmark had begun the campaign with a 3-2 loss away to Norway, but made immediate amends in their first home match. Two second-half goals secured their first win of this Nations League edition and kept them close to Norway and Portugal, who meet in Oslo later on the same night.

Davies own goal opens the way
The contest stayed level through the first half, although Gustav Isaksen saw a Denmark goal ruled out before the break. Denmark eventually found the opening through Ben Davies, whose own goal put the hosts ahead.
Isaksen then made sure of the result after the hour mark, scoring Denmark’s second to give the Copenhagen crowd a more comfortable finish.
Wales still waiting in League A
For Wales, the step into Nations League A has so far brought two difficult outings. Having lost 1-0 to Portugal in their first match, they remain without a point and have yet to score in the group.

Dorgu forced off early
Denmark’s win was tempered by an injury concern for Patrick Dorgu. The Manchester United player was substituted around the half-hour mark after picking up a knock.
