Henry carried 24 times in Sunday’s opener as Baltimore began the year 1-0 under first-year head coach Jesse Minter. His three-score performance gave him 125 career rushing touchdowns, moving him past Hall of Famer Marcus Allen, who finished with 123.
The veteran back struck twice before halftime, helping the Ravens build 31 points over the first two quarters. His milestone touchdown came on a 32-yard run in which he broke through Indianapolis defenders for one of the day’s biggest plays.
Henry later found the end zone again to complete a three-touchdown afternoon and continue a career that has increasingly strengthened his Hall of Fame case.
“Marcus Allen is someone I have a great deal of respect for,” Henry said after the game. “To be mentioned ahead of him is an honor, and I’m thankful for it.”
